Rain Chances Increase as Weather System Approaches Florida

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Calm weather conditions will dominate Saturday evening, but rain is expected to increase across the region on Sunday.
As nighttime settles in, residents can expect dry skies, though cloud coverage will build ahead of an incoming weather system. Overnight temperatures will be milder than in recent nights, ranging from the upper 30s to low 40s.
The weather system is projected to move through the area on Sunday, with models indicating a rise in rain chances. The initial portion of the day is expected to be mostly cloudy and dry, with temperatures peaking in the mid- to low 60s.
Spotty showers are anticipated to develop by the evening and persist overnight. While there is no current threat of severe weather, light rain is likely during the latter half of Sunday, with overnight lows expected to settle between the upper 40s and low 50s.
Looking ahead to Monday, brief showers may linger in the morning. However, conditions should clear up as the day progresses, leading to drier weather by the afternoon. Highs will remain in the mid-60s under primarily cloudy skies, with lows around the mid-40s.
High pressure is set to build midweek, promoting splendid weather on Tuesday and Wednesday, with temperatures climbing into the mid-70s and lows in the mid- to upper-40s.
As for the extended forecast, a weak weather system could traverse the Big Bend and South Georgia on Thursday, possibly bringing more light showers, though moisture levels are expected to remain low. Highs on Thursday are forecasted in the low to mid-70s, while lows will fall into the upper 40s.
Friday should offer a nice end to the work week with dry, mostly sunny conditions. Highs will reach the mid- to upper-60s, falling to the lower 40s at night.
