Raja Jackson Arrested for Assaulting Wrestler at L.A. Event
Los Angeles, CA – Raja Jackson, the son of MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was arrested on Thursday morning for allegedly attacking a professional wrestler during an event last month.
The 25-year-old was taken into custody and booked on a felony charge, currently held on a $50,000 bond. The incident occurred at a Knokx Pro Wrestling show, where Jackson reportedly assaulted wrestler Stuart Smith, known as Syko Stu.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing Jackson slam Smith to the mat and deliver nearly two dozen punches while Smith was unconscious. Fellow wrestlers intervened after about ten seconds of the attack, preventing further injury.
Smith was hospitalized for several days due to numerous injuries, including a fractured maxilla bone. Fortunately, he has since been discharged and is recovering at home.
Quinton Jackson has publicly condemned his son, expressing that Raja should face consequences for his actions, including jail time and community service. He stated that anger management and therapy would also be beneficial.
The wrestling community has shown strong support for Smith. A fundraising initiative has garnered over $150,000, with contributions from notable figures like Chris Jericho and Mr. Beast.
Popular WWE personality Logan Paul also weighed in on the matter, claiming that Jackson’s actions were akin to attempted murder and calling for severe punishment.
The situation has sparked widespread outrage, prompting nearly 5,000 signatures on a digital petition urging the Los Angeles Police Department to charge Jackson with aggravated assault and attempted murder.
This incident is a reminder of the blurred lines between entertainment and reality in professional wrestling, and many are calling for justice to be served.
