Donald Trump Nicky Jam Las Vegas Rally 2024

In a noteworthy development in the 2024 U.S. presidential race, reggaeton artist Nicky Jam has expressed his support for Donald Trump‘s campaign. The endorsement occurred during a rally held on Friday at the World Market Center in Las Vegas, where the former president is vying for reelection against Vice President Kamala Harris.

Unexpectedly, while introducing Nicky Jam to the audience, Donald Trump mistakenly referred to the reggaeton sensation as a “hot” woman. This error unfolded as Mr. Trump, addressing his supporters, inquired, “Do you know Nicky? She’s hot. Where’s Nicky?” On realizing his mistake upon spotting the male star, Trump quickly corrected himself by saying, “Oh, look, I’m glad he came up,” as he welcomed Nicky Jam to the stage.

Wearing a black sweatshirt and a “Make America Great Again” cap, Nicky Jam joined Trump on stage, where he expressed his admiration for the former president. “It’s an honor to meet you, Mr. President. People that come from where I come from, they don’t meet the president. So I’m lucky,” stated Nicky Jam, who moved from Massachusetts to Puerto Rico during his youth. He added, “We need you. We need you back, right? We need you to be the president.”

Nicky Jam, whose real name is Nick Rivera Caminero, is among several artists showing support for Trump’s comeback effort. Notably, performers such as Jason Aldean, Kid Rock, and Billy Ray Cyrus have pledged their backing to him. Nicky Jam, a veteran in the reggaeton industry, gained widespread fame with his hit song “X,” featuring J Balvin.

Following the rally, the singer humorously acknowledged Trump’s earlier gender confusion with an Instagram post. He shared a picture of himself with Trump, captioned with “Nicky jam la potra la bichota” alongside numerous crying-laughing emojis, adding a light-hearted spin to the mix-up.

In recent news, Nicky Jam declared his intentions to gradually step back from his music career, though he doubts fully retiring, stating, “Singers never retire. You just tone it down.” His latest album, “Insomnio,” was released on September 6.
