Reneé Rapp Shines at First Headlining Show in NYC

New York City, NY – At just 25 years old, Reneé Rapp celebrated a remarkable milestone in her career with her first headlining concert at Madison Square Garden on Monday night, September 29. This show supported her debut album, “Bite Me,” which has already captured listeners’ attention with its hit single, “Leave Me Alone.”
The concert kicked off on September 23 at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, showcasing Rapp’s vocal talents over two electrifying hours. Fans were treated to a full performance of “Bite Me” as well as songs from her earlier works, including her debut album, “Snow Angel,” and the EP “Everything to Everyone.” The title track of the EP served as her introduction, setting a dramatic tone for the evening.
Rapp opened the show with a creative video interlude featuring different personas she embodies, such as a pop star and a regular individual. This led into a powerful rendition of “Everything to Everyone” before launching into the upbeat anthem, “Leave Me Alone.” With no backup dancers, Rapp commanded the stage, complete with a striking black-and-white checkered floor and a star-shaped platform illuminated in pink.
Her glam rock and punk pop aesthetics were evident in both her outfits and her lively performance style. Rapp embraced her theater background, utilizing red curtains and video interludes to enhance the evening’s narrative. Notably, she switched up her setlist last minute, opting to play “At Least I’m Hot,” moving away from her “Mean Girls” soundtrack hit.
Throughout the show, Rapp delivered several unforgettable moments, including an emotional performance of her debut single, “In the Kitchen.” Her generous spirit shone through as she acknowledged her talented band, allowing each member—Tim Ramsey, Josh Porter, Terrence Vaughn, Ari O’Neal, and Josh Foster—to take a bow and receive recognition on the big screen.
As the concert concluded, Rapp left fans buzzing with excitement for her upcoming performances and future endeavors. Her “Bite Me” tour will continue across North America through October, with more shows planned, including a headlining spot at the All Things Go Festival later this year.
