Samsung Announces One UI 8 Beta Program Ahead of Foldable Launch

SEOUL, South Korea — Samsung has launched its One UI 8 beta program, signaling advancements in software intelligence for its Galaxy devices. The beta became available on May 28, 2025, and features major upgrades aimed at enhancing user productivity and convenience.
Through a partnership with Google, the latest software will debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, expected this summer. This collaboration aims to enrich user experience with the latest Android version, Android 16.
One UI 8 is designed to streamline everyday tasks with intelligent, multimodal AI communication. It promises personalized, proactive suggestions based on individual user behavior. Features such as Now Bar and Now Brief will provide tailored insights to help manage daily routines.
Samsung also emphasized the importance of data security with One UI 8. The Samsung Knox Vault combines secure hardware with user data insulation, ensuring user privacy. The software offers settings for on-device processing, reinforcing user control over their data.
The new Auracast technology will enable Bluetooth LE Audio connections through QR codes, making audio sharing easier. In addition, a revamped Reminder app will aid users in managing tasks effortlessly.
Samsung users can sign up to join the beta program through the Samsung Members app to explore the features of One UI 8. The full public release will follow the introduction of the new foldable devices, with expansions planned for additional Galaxy models.
