LOS ANGELES, Calif. — K-pop group Seventeen brought high energy to their performances on October 16 and 17 at BMO Stadium. The group, which has 13 members, performed with nine of them, as four members were absent due to mandatory military service in South Korea.
Fresh from celebrating their 10th anniversary and the release of their latest album, “Happy Burstday,” Seventeen kicked off the concert with the song “Bad Influence.” The track was produced by Pharrell Williams and originally debuted at a Louis Vuitton fashion show.
The two-night Los Angeles stop is part of Seventeen’s New_ World Tour, which began in Korea and includes five American stops before heading to Japan. Fans, known as Carats, filled the venue, fueling an electrifying atmosphere as the group showcased their charisma and talent.
During the show, Seventeen featured their recent single “Thunder” alongside beloved hits such as “Hot” and “Very Nice.” The performance included solo stages that allowed individual members to shine, reflecting the group’s desire to highlight their unique personalities.
“We are standing at a new starting line, preparing for a new path ahead and ready to blaze a new trail,” said leader S.Coups in a previous interview. He emphasized the importance of this tour amid upcoming military enlistments for members.
Throughout the night, the group and fans shared a heartfelt connection, especially considering this might be their last full concert together for some time. Woozi assured fans, “We understand that the fans are very sad that some of us are going to be away, but we know that we are going to stay together. This is a preparation phase for the next album that is going to be even better and greater.”
As the concert closed, Seventeen performed “Very Nice” multiple times, a fan favorite that typically features several encores. The audience’s excitement and engagement during the show made it a memorable experience for all.
