Sony Removes Notorious Scam Game Developer from PlayStation Store

San Mateo, California – Sony has officially removed Grizzly Games Limited, one of the PlayStation Store’s most notorious scam game developers, following months of complaints from players. The decision comes as a relief to many who have fallen victim to the developer’s deceptive practices.
Grizzly Games Limited gained infamy last December when it released a game featuring characters that closely resembled those from Sony’s own title, The Last of Us. This incident highlighted significant flaws in the PS Store’s automated vetting system. After a user reported their disappearance, it appeared that all titles from Grizzly Games Limited had been removed from the store entirely.
Despite the positive news, concerns remain as dozens of other scam games continue to flood the PlayStation Network. Many users express frustration over the abundance of shovelware titles, which clutter the storefront and often offer little genuine gaming experience.
Industry observers hope that Sony will take this opportunity to improve its submission process for the PlayStation Store, reducing the chances of similar cases occurring in the future. “This is a step in the right direction, but there is still much work to be done,” said a gaming analyst who wished to remain unnamed.
The actions against Grizzly Games Limited reflect a growing awareness among players about the integrity of offerings on the PS Store, as well as a push for greater accountability from game developers and platform holders alike.
“It’s a shame it took so long for this to happen,” one affected player said. “I hope Sony learns from this and makes things better for everyone.”
With the removal of Grizzly Games Limited, the focus now shifts back to Sony’s vetting processes and the ongoing struggle against the influx of low-quality games in the marketplace.
