Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King Season 3 Set to Premiere in September 2025

Los Angeles, California — Sylvester Stallone will return for Season 3 of Paramount+’s hit series Tulsa King, with the new season set to premiere in September 2025. The announcement comes as production for the season continues in both Atlanta and Oklahoma.
Since its debut in 2022, Tulsa King has become a cornerstone of the Taylor Sheridan ecosystem on Paramount+, which includes popular series like Yellowstone and Mayor of Kingstown. Stallone, who plays the lead character Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi, is not only the star but also a writer and executive producer for the show.
In Tulsa King, Stallone portrays a New York mobster exiled to Tulsa after being released from prison. The character navigates the local underworld while also attempting to mend his fractured family relationships, which adds a layer of complexity to the crime drama.
As fans eagerly await the new season, it has been revealed that notable actor Martin Starr will join the cast as an FBI agent with a vendetta against Dwight. Filming for Season 3 began in March 2025, and production is reportedly filming its third episode as of last week.
Dave Erickson will take over as showrunner for Season 3, succeeding Terence Winter and Craig Zisk. Former executive producers David C. Glasser and Ron Burkle will continue to be involved, ensuring continuity in the show’s production.
Fans of the series may recall the intense cliffhanger that concluded Season 2, leaving Dwight in a precarious position following a surprise FBI raid. Details about the plot for Season 3 remain under wraps, but anticipation is high for how these storylines will unfold.
Paramount+ has not yet finalized the full cast list for Season 3, but it is likely that returning characters will join Stallone in new confrontations as the season progresses.
With promotional strategies suggesting that Tulsa King may release new episodes in a more timely fashion compared to previous seasons, fans are excited at the prospect of a quicker turnaround from the finale of one season to the premiere of the next.
