Teenager Hospitalized After Falling from Canada’s Wonderland Ride
A 17-year-old girl is currently receiving medical treatment after experiencing a medical emergency and falling from a ride at Canada’s Wonderland, a popular amusement park in Vaughan, located in Ontario, Canada.
At approximately 2:30 p.m. local time on Thursday, emergency services were called to the scene at Canada’s Wonderland following reports of the incident.
The York Regional Police arrived at the amusement park in response to the reported fall, where it was determined that the teenage girl had suffered a medical episode, leading to her fall from the Swing of the Century ride.
The teenager was immediately transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition to receive urgent medical care.
A spokesperson for Canada’s Wonderland confirmed the incident, stating that the guest had fallen from the Swing of the Century ride, and an investigation into the matter is currently underway. The safety of all guests and staff remains a top priority for the amusement park.
Following the incident, officials from the Technical Safety and Standard Authority (TSSA) conducted an inspection of the ride on-site and deemed it safe for continued operation. The Swing of the Century ride will remain open to visitors as scheduled.
