Three Found Dead in Jacksonville Home; Investigation Underway

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Three adults were discovered dead in an apparent murder-suicide inside a home on Gilmore Street in the Murray Hill neighborhood around noon on Thursday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office (JSO).
The welfare check was requested by family members who had not heard from the victims. Upon arrival, authorities found all three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds, with evidence suggesting that one of the wounds was self-inflicted.
JSO homicide detectives and Crime Scene Unit detectives responded to the scene following the grim discovery. Police recovered a firearm at the residence, indicating that there are no outstanding suspects in the case.
“Based on the information we have gathered, this appears to be a murder-suicide,” a JSO spokesperson stated. However, the identities of the deceased have not been confirmed, and the relationship among the victims is still unclear.
Neighbors expressed shock and disbelief following the incident. “This really hits home for us,” said Jim Wallman, a nearby resident who has experienced similar loss. “We’re all in shock around here.”
Reports indicate that the victims were discovered in different bedrooms throughout the home. Family members reported last having contact with the deceased on the day prior to the incident. JSO continues to investigate, awaiting autopsy results to determine official causes of death.
Keith Hayes, a neighbor, shared insight about the victims, saying they had moved to Jacksonville several months ago from Virginia. “I knew him as ‘Supreme,’ and he was in a relationship with Christina, who was a traveling nurse,” Hayes said. “He mentioned to me a few weeks back that they were going through some tough times.”
Hayes noted that Supreme expressed concerns about arguments and differences in priorities between himself and Christina, contributing to a potentially volatile living situation.
Local authorities are urging anyone with additional information about the incident to contact CrimeStoppers at 866-845-8477 or the JSO at 904-630-0500. The investigation is ongoing, and police encourage residents to share any relevant details.
