Tornado Warning Muskogee County

TULSA, Okla. — A tornado warning for southern Muskogee County has officially expired, according to KTUL reports from Sunday afternoon.

The warning, which was in effect until 4:30 p.m., prompted local authorities to alert residents to seek shelter and remain vigilant. The National Weather Service had issued the urgent notice earlier in the day when conditions suggested the possibility of severe storms in the area.

Officials confirmed that the warning was lifted shortly before its scheduled expiration time. Although there were no immediate reports of damage or sightings of a tornado, local emergency management urged the community to remain cautious as storms could still linger.

“Residents should stay informed through local news and weather alerts as conditions can change quickly,” a spokesperson from the Muskogee County emergency management office advised.

Community members are reminded to prepare for future severe weather, especially as the region enters its storm-prone season.
