Tragic Discovery At Rg Kar Medical College: Doctor Found Dead

KOLKATA: A shocking incident has shaken the RG Kar Medical College as the body of a second-year postgraduate trainee doctor was found inside a seminar hall on Friday morning. This tragic discovery has led to protests and rising tensions on campus.

The doctor, who was specializing in respiratory medicine, was discovered around 7:30 AM. Officials reported serious injuries on her body, including marks suggesting she had been strangled. There were also concerning signs of possible sexual assault.

The victim’s family has been vocal, claiming their daughter was raped and murdered. The father stated that the authorities seemed to be covering up the details surrounding her death. “We have lost our daughter. Unless we get justice, we will never be satisfied,” he said.

Following the grim discovery, groups of fellow doctors and medical interns went on strike, demanding justice and transparency from the authorities. They protested outside the emergency building, standing firm until their conditions about the postmortem and inquiry were met.

Hospital authorities responded promptly, forming an internal committee to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. The health secretary and police commissioner visited the site to address the growing unrest among students and staff.

According to sources, the doctor was last seen in the ward, where she was responsible for patient care until 2 AM before heading to the seminar room to study. An intern discovered her body after several calls went unanswered.

Witnesses reported that her belongings, including her laptop and notebook, were still next to her. The nature of her injuries and the compromised state of her clothing raised numerous alarms among her colleagues.

Efforts are underway to gather more evidence, including reviewing security footage and call records. The investigation is ongoing, and the community remains on edge, waiting for answers.
