Turning Point USA Honors Charlie Kirk at University of Oklahoma Event

NORMAN, Okla. – Thousands gathered at the University of Oklahoma‘s Lloyd Noble Center on Thursday night for the Turning Point USA tour, which honors its late founder, Charlie Kirk. Kirk was killed last month during an event in Utah.
The event featured several speakers, including Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, who delivered a heartfelt address filled with Bible verses. Stitt urged attendees to continue Kirk’s legacy by forging connections and combating isolation among their peers.
“I want you to fight isolation in your generation. Find friends who are running after God and living their lives to glorify him,” Stitt said. “I want you to encourage each other to choose boldness, to choose righteousness.”
Originally set for a smaller venue, the event was moved to the larger Lloyd Noble Center to accommodate the overwhelming response, with an estimated two-thirds of the 11,000 seats expected to be filled.
Celebrity guests Savannah Chrisley and Russell Brand also took the stage. Brand engaged with the audience by answering questions, keeping alive Kirk’s tradition of promoting public debate.
Additionally, multiple law enforcement agencies ensured safety during the event, conducting thorough security checks. The atmosphere was somber yet hopeful as attendees celebrated Kirk’s life and mission.
