Valley County Health Offers Immunizations for School-Entry Kids

Valley County, Montana — The Valley County Health Department (VCHD) has announced that it is now providing child immunizations by appointment, essential for those entering school this fall.
To ensure compliance with state mandates requiring kindergarteners to be vaccinated prior to the first day of school, parents should call VCHD at 406-228-6261 to schedule an appointment for their child’s required immunizations.
“It’s critical that every child receives their immunizations on time to ensure their health and the health of their peers,” said VCHD Health Officer. “We encourage all parents to make an appointment as soon as possible.”
When visiting the health department, parents are reminded to bring their child’s immunization record and insurance card. However, VCHD has confirmed that no child will be turned away due to an inability to pay. “We offer options to assist families facing financial hardships, ensuring that all children can receive their necessary vaccinations,” the health officer added.
Immunizations not only protect children from preventable diseases but also contribute to community immunity, safeguarding those who are unable to be vaccinated.
For any additional questions or concerns regarding immunization schedules, families are encouraged to reach out directly to VCHD for guidance.
