Veteran South African Actor Chris April to be Laid to Rest on Saturday

Veteran South African actor Chris April, known for his role in the local TV series Stokvel, is set to be buried this coming Saturday. April tragically lost his life during a robbery at his home in Nyanga on the Cape Flats back in February.

According to family spokesperson Johnson Puza, the assailants broke into April’s residence while he was sleeping. They proceeded to steal his belongings, and when April recognized one of the intruders, they viciously attacked him. He was rushed to Groote Schuur Hospital on the 6th of February and later transferred to Mitchell’s Plain District Hospital, where he passed away on the 31st of March.

At the time of his death, April was actively working on a German TV series titled Heaven Africa, showcasing his enduring passion for acting and storytelling.

The South African entertainment industry mourns the loss of Chris April, a talented and beloved actor who left an indelible mark on local television with his memorable performances.
