Carson Wentz Vikings Injury London

LONDONVikings quarterback Carson Wentz jogged to the locker room before halftime on October 5, 2025, after suffering a shoulder injury during a game against the Cleveland Browns. Wentz, trying to gain a first down, took a hard hit and appeared to signal for medical help when he reached the sideline.

With Wentz now questionable to return, Max Brosmer, the Vikings’ undrafted rookie backup, is set to replace him. Richt now, Brosmer is the only available quarterback since the Vikings waived Desmond Ridder the day before the game. Following the first half, the Vikings trail the Browns 10-7.

Before his injury, Wentz completed 7 of 12 passes for 73 yards and also rushed twice for 12 yards. This season, he has filled the starting role while J.J. McCarthy is sidelined with an injury. The Vikings, at 2-2, are looking to recover from a shaky start to their League campaign, making today’s game critical before their upcoming bye week.

Wentz’s exit followed a tough performance by the Vikings offensive line, which has been weakened by injuries. In the first half alone, elite left tackle Christian Darrisaw also left the field, leaving Minnesota’s offense in a precarious position.

Brosmer, who spent his college career at the University of Minnesota after transferring from FCS New Hampshire, signed with the Vikings as a free agent after going undrafted. During pre-season, he showed promise, completing several passes and even throwing a touchdown.

As the second half approaches, the Vikings and their fans await updates on Wentz’s status, hoping for a quick recovery or a strong performance from Brosmer to keep their playoff hopes alive.
