Niagara Regional Police Service, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, has arrested a woman believed to be involved in a series of homicides across Ontario cities, including Toronto, Niagara, and Hamilton. The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Sabrina Kauldhar, faces multiple murder charges following three separate incidents.

On October 1, 2024, police were alerted to a residence in Toronto located at the intersection of Keele Street and Dundas Street West. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of an unidentified woman in her 60s with visible trauma. The incident prompted an immediate investigation, though the victim’s identity remains undisclosed.

The next day, on October 2, 2024, Niagara police responded to a disturbance call at John Allan Park just before 3 p.m. Officers found 47-year-old Lance Cunningham suffering from critical injuries. Despite swift medical assistance from Niagara Emergency Medical Services and the response unit of Niagara Falls Fire Service, Cunningham was pronounced dead at the scene.

The series of tragic events continued on October 3, 2024, when Hamilton Police received an emergency call regarding an unresponsive male at the parking lot of 209 MacNab Street North. The victim, identified as 77-year-old Mario Bilich, was found with injuries indicative of a stabbing. Bilich later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Investigative efforts led authorities to link all three homicides to a single suspect. “The suspect in the Hamilton and Niagara murders was the same, as evidenced by matching suspect descriptions,” an official statement from the police articulated. The suspect, Sabrina Kauldhar, was apprehended on October 3 at approximately 5:45 p.m. in the Burlington area.

Kauldhar has been charged with first-degree murder in the Hamilton incident and second-degree murder for the homicides in Toronto and Niagara. Investigators have conveyed that Kauldhar was known to the Toronto victim, while they described the murders of Bilich and Cunningham as random acts.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are piecing together the timeline of events leading up to Kauldhar’s arrest. The police continue their appeal to the public for information, especially from individuals who may have observed her movements between the dates of October 1 and October 3.

Police are also seeking to identify a woman captured on surveillance footage on October 1 at the Giant Tiger store located at 2025 Guelph Line in Burlington. This woman was noticed purchasing clothing later found in Kauldhar’s possession when arrested.

A hotline has been established for witnesses to provide tips, and anonymous information submissions can be made through Crime Stoppers. The Niagara Regional Police, alongside Hamilton Police Service, has scheduled a media briefing at 4:00 p.m. in Niagara Falls to address these developments and provide further details to the public.
