Giants’ Jaxson Dart Impresses During Preseason with Veteran Support

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey – August 21, 2025 – Jaxson Dart, the rookie quarterback for the New York Giants, showcased his skills during the NFL preseason game against the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium. The Giants won 42-10, reinforcing Dart’s growing reputation.
Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson praised Dart, saying, “I see a lot of myself when I watch him. Just his joy, his charisma with his teammates, his ability to make every throw on the field. It’s just exciting to watch and support him.” The Giants selected Dart with the 25th pick in the first round of the recent draft, a move that signaled his importance as their future quarterback.
Although Wilson is currently the starter, Dart has made a strong impression during training camp, demonstrating both talent and a positive attitude. Wilson noted, “He’s not waiting for his moment; he’s preparing to be the very best. He’s been working hard his whole life, so why stop now?”
Jameis Winston, another seasoned quarterback with the Giants, chimed in, emphasizing the benefits of learning from experienced players. He mentioned, “Being in a quarterback room with a Super Bowl-winning quarterback like Wilson brings valuable perspective. We aim to push each other to be our best.”
Reflecting on his own career, Winston recalled moments with other legendary quarterbacks, stating, “It seems like it keeps happening for me. But I know eventually, it’s going to pay off with these young quarterbacks, like you’re seeing with Jordan Love right now. He took this time, and now he’s shining.”
