Tulsa King Renewed for Fourth Season Before Season Three Premiere
Los Angeles, CA — Paramount+ has officially renewed the popular crime drama Tulsa King for a fourth season, just days ahead of the premiere of its third season on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025. The announcement was made during the Season 3 red carpet event in New York City.
The renewal comes as no surprise, as Tulsa King was the streaming service’s most-watched original series last year, attracting a staggering 21.1 million global viewers for the premiere of its second season.
The new season will also see a shift in the show’s leadership. Terence Winter, the original writer, will take over as showrunner from Dave Erickson, who led Season 3.
The third season will focus on the challenges faced by Dwight (played by Sylvester Stallone) as he expands his criminal empire. It introduces new threats, particularly from the Dunmires, an influential old-money family in Tulsa that plays an unpredictable game.
Robert Patrick joins the cast as the head of the Dunmire family, described as “a powerful man with deep pockets who works in the liquor business.” The supporting cast includes Martin Starr, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, and many more.
Winter’s return is seen as a move to stabilize the creative direction of the show, which has undergone several leadership changes since its inception. Discussions about a potential two-year extension for Stallone are reportedly underway, hinting that the show could continue for at least six seasons if it maintains its high ratings.
The third season promises to deepen Dwight’s character and his conflicts, revealing the intense rivalries he must navigate while protecting his family and interests in Tulsa.
The anticipated premiere of Season 3 is set for 12 a.m. PST on Sept. 21, 2025.
