BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — The 170th annual Bloomsburg Fair is set to kick off on September 19, bringing nine days filled with rides, food, and live entertainment. This beloved Pennsylvania tradition draws over 350,000 visitors from across the state each year.

Visitors can look forward to a variety of attractions, including the WNEP Free Stage featuring local performers. Scheduled acts include the Tim Johnson Band, Brad Comedy Hypnotist, and Fast Times at the Bloomsburg Fair, among others. Entertainment runs throughout the day, ensuring guests can enjoy something new each visit.

“This is like putting a big puzzle together, and the pieces have kind of all been put in place as of today,” said Randy Karschner, Bloomsburg Fair President. “So we’re ready to go and hope everybody can come out and see the fair.”

In addition to music and shows, the fair boasts an array of food options, from traditional favorites like sausage and funnel cakes to new offerings found at various vendor stands. “We’re making sure everything tastes great, and we want to have no issues with electrical or so on and so forth,” said Tonia Bell, a worker at Kudgee’s Kitchen.

Families can also explore livestock exhibits, carnival rides, and various competitions, including the popular Championship Demolition Derby, taking place on September 27. There are also opportunities to taste local wines and craft beers at new setups around the fairgrounds.

“When you come with other people, they want to explore the fair together and try all the food,” said Janet Shaffer from Mechanicsburg, who was excited to soak in the festivities.

The fair will run from September 19 to 27, and guests are encouraged to download the new Bloomsburg Fair app for updates and schedules. With something for everyone, the Bloomsburg Fair continues to be a can’t-miss event for families throughout Pennsylvania.
