Eric Church Concert Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Eric Church captivated fans during his Free The Machine Tour stop at the newly renamed Xfinity Mobile Arena on September 18, 2025.

Midway through his high-energy performance, Church reminisced about his first visit to Philadelphia, recalling a memorable birthday party in the area when he was promoting his debut album, Sinners Like Me. He fondly shared the details of a fan, known as Razz, who won a private concert as part of a promotion called Backyard BBQ.

“I was thinking, ‘I’m going back home,’” Church said while reflecting on that unexpected event where about thirty children were in attendance, instead of the typical country music crowd.

The Philadelphia audience reacted with laughter, especially when Church humorously noted that those neighborhood kids were now all grown up, enjoying drinks and singing along to his hits.

During the concert, Church expressed his respect for the city, stating, “I’ve got a ton of respect for this city, a ton of respect for this building, and a ton of respect for the artists that have played this building.” His gratitude was reciprocated as the crowd energetically sang along to every song.

With a mix of heartfelt stories and a setlist featuring classics alongside newer favorites, Church’s return to Philadelphia was one for the books—both for his fans and for himself as he reflected on cherished memories.
