Virginia Giuffre Details Recruitment and Trafficking by Epstein and Maxwell
Palm Beach, Florida – Virginia Giuffre, in excerpts from her posthumous memoir, recalls the chilling story of how she was recruited into sex trafficking at the age of 16. Giuffre, who passed away in April 2025, detailed in her book the influential figures involved, including Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein.
Giuffre’s memoir, set to be released soon, describes her introduction to Epstein and Maxwell while working at the Mar-a-Lago resort. She remembers the day she first met Maxwell, who approached her while she was behind the reception desk. ‘Are you interested in massage?’ Maxwell asked, a question that would change Giuffre’s life forever.
One day, Maxwell invited Giuffre to meet a wealthy man for a job opportunity. This meeting led to a life-altering and traumatic experience that Giuffre said many others in Epstein’s circle also seemed aware of. She writes, “Everyone knew what was going on.”
Giuffre emphasizes that her story is not an isolated case, stating that Epstein was not an anomaly, but a “symptom of a culture” that allows for exploitation. “The way he viewed women and girls – as playthings to be used and discarded – is not uncommon among certain powerful men,” she wrote.
Throughout the memoir, Giuffre recalls her experiences being trafficked to various powerful men, including Prince Andrew. She describes a disturbing encounter with the prince after dining together, noting that Epstein and Maxwell orchestrated each meeting and handled all the arrangements. At one point, Giuffre states, ‘He was friendly enough, but still entitled – as if he believed having sex with me was his birthright.’
The memoir also touches on the psychological manipulation and grooming tactics used by Epstein and Maxwell, who allegedly exploited the vulnerabilities of young women like Giuffre. Giuffre confronts the stigma attached to the victims, addressing the misconceptions often faced by survivors of such abuse.
Giuffre’s powerful words aim to shine light on how systemic issues within society enable this kind of exploitation, insisting that reforms are necessary to challenge entrenched misogyny. ‘If we do not tackle inequality,’ she warned, ‘we won’t address the root causes of violence against women and girls.’ Her revelations invite critical discussion on accountability and the collective responsibility to protect victims.
Her story serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing issues of abuse and exploitation within powerful circles, underscoring the urgency for societal change.
