Lainey Wilson to Host 59th Annual CMA Awards on November 19

Nashville, TN — The Country Music Association (CMA) announced the host and initial performers for the 59th Annual CMA Awards, set for November 19 at the Bridgestone Arena. Lainey Wilson, the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, will host the event for the second consecutive year.

Wilson described hosting the CMA Awards as a dream come true, saying, “I grew up watching the CMA Awards like it was the Super Bowl, so to be hosting for a second year is a true honor. I’m humbled that CMA has trusted me with this role, and I can’t wait to love on this genre that has given me so much.” Wilson is also a top nominee this year with six nominations, tied with fellow artists Ella Langley and Megan Moroney.

Alongside Wilson, the performance lineup features popular country artists including Luke Combs, Zach Top, Tucker Wetmore, BigXthaPlug, and Stephen Wilson Jr. Combs, who has five nominations, is set to perform his new single “Back in the Saddle.” The performances include Langley singing “Choosin’ Texas” and Moroney showcasing her hit “6 Months Later.”

Wetmore, a nominee for New Artist of the Year, will perform “Wind Up Missin’ You,” while Zach Top will take the stage to deliver his song “Guitar.” Stephen Wilson Jr. will honor Ben E. King with his rendition of “Stand By Me” and perform in a duet with Shaboozey for their song, “Took a Walk,” from the film “The Long Walk.”

The live broadcast will air on ABC from 8 to 11 p.m. ET on November 19 and will be available for streaming on Hulu the following day. Fans can expect more performers and presenters to be announced leading up to the awards.
