Aaron Phypers Malibu Wellness Center Lawsuit

Aaron Phypers, husband of actress Denise Richards, is facing a lawsuit alleging fraud and breach of oral contract related to a stem cell treatment offered at his Malibu wellness center. The lawsuit, filed on Nov. 13, 2024, by Rupert Perry on behalf of his late wife, Elina Katsioula-Beall, claims Phypers promised a 98% success rate for the treatment and a partial refund if it failed.

Katsioula-Beall, diagnosed with sarcoma cancer in 2019, sought alternative treatments after traditional methods proved ineffective. According to court documents, Phypers allegedly assured her and Perry that the stem cell treatment would cure or significantly improve her condition. The couple paid $126,000 for the treatment, which took place between July and September 2023. However, by December 2023, an MRI revealed her tumors had grown by 25%.

Perry claims that despite repeated requests for a $63,000 refund, as promised by Phypers, the payments were ignored. Katsioula-Beall passed away on May 21, 2024, and Perry alleges that Phypers acknowledged the debt during a phone call on June 28, 2024, but failed to fulfill the refund. The lawsuit seeks unspecified general and punitive damages, accusing Phypers of intentional misconduct and causing unjust hardship.

Phypers has not yet filed a response to the lawsuit, and it remains unclear if his wellness center, Quantum 360, is still operational. A source close to Phypers disputed the claims, stating that he was merely a middleman and that the refund responsibility lies with the company providing the treatment. The source added that Phypers has been attempting to contact the company’s CEO to facilitate the refund.

This is not the first legal issue surrounding Phypers’ wellness center. Last year, he faced a separate lawsuit over an alleged debt related to his business. The case has drawn attention due to Phypers’ high-profile marriage to Richards and his controversial statements about alternative medicine, including his claim that cancer is a protective response to infection.
