Alana Haim Aubrey Plaza The Heidi Fleiss Story

Los Angeles, CA — Alana Haim is in talks to join Aubrey Plaza in the upcoming dark comedy, The Heidi Fleiss Story. The film serves as a biopic of infamous figure Heidi Fleiss, known as the “Hollywood Madam.” The story unfolds in 1993 Los Angeles, highlighting Fleiss’s arrest for orchestrating the largest high-end prostitution ring.

In the film, Plaza will portray Fleiss, while Haim is set to play Jacolyn, an aspiring writer who aims to document Fleiss’s life. As Fleiss navigates the challenges of her legal troubles, Jacolyn vows to help her mother blackmail and negotiate with influential connections in Hollywood to have her case dismissed.

The film is scheduled to begin production in Los Angeles in early 2026. Leah Rachel will mark her feature directorial debut with the project, working from a script she co-wrote with Travis Jackson and Rachel Sennott. The film will be produced by Jessamine Burgum and Kara Durrett for Pinky Promise, alongside Plaza through Evil Hag Productions.

Haim, a member of the Grammy-nominated pop rock band Haim, gained recognition for her role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Licorice Pizza. She received several prestigious nominations at the Golden Globes and BAFTA Awards for her performance. Recently, she appeared in Anderson’s film One Battle After Another and the Cannes Premiering heist movie The Mastermind.

Haim will also star alongside Zendaya and Robert Pattinson in A24’s upcoming film The Drama. She is represented by UTA, Entertainment 360, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
