LOS ANGELES, CA – Actress Alexandra Daddario recently talked about fan speculation regarding her joining James Gunn‘s new DC Universe during an interview to promote her upcoming film, I Wish You All The Best. Fans have imagined Daddario as Wonder Woman or Catwoman, fueling a buzz of artistic fan interpretations.

Daddario noted, “I have to be honest, I haven’t seen any of that [fan art],” but expressed gratitude towards the supporters saying, “I’m flattered to hear that it’s happening.” Despite not being aware of the ongoing discussions about her potential casting, she stated, “Of course, working with James Gunn would be amazing in any capacity.”

Both iconic characters, Wonder Woman and Catwoman, are slated to appear in upcoming projects under Gunn’s direction. On September 29, 2025, Gunn confirmed Catwoman’s inclusion in the franchise, although details surrounding her specific role remain under wraps. In addition, a new Wonder Woman feature film is in early development following news that a script is being penned by Ana Nogueira, who previously worked on Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.

Gunn also shared that a prequel series titled Paradise Lost is in motion, though further creative developments have yet to be disclosed. Industry speculation suggests a potential release window for the Wonder Woman film around 2028, contingent on the script’s progress.

With no casting announcements made for the Wonder Woman reboot, fans are eagerly awaiting any updates from DC Studios. As for her current project, I Wish You All The Best, is scheduled to hit theaters on November 7.
