Amber Rose Defends Trump Support, Says Critics Have Gone Silent
MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Model and actress Amber Rose, 41, has doubled down on her support for former President Donald Trump, claiming that critics who once attacked her for her political stance have now fallen silent. Rose, who spoke at the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, said her unwavering support for Trump has come at a cost but remains unshaken.
“During the election, I was ‘canceled,’” Rose told Maxim magazine in a recent interview. “Now? All the naysayers are quiet. They see he’s already changing our country for the better.” Rose, who has faced backlash for her right-leaning views, said she no longer fears judgment or criticism from the political left.
At the convention, Rose delivered a speech detailing her political transformation. “The left told me to hate Trump. And even worse, to hate the other side: the people who support him,” she said. “When you cut through the lies, you realize the truth. American families were better when Donald Trump was president. We were safer, wealthier, and stronger.”
Rose, a mother of two and former reality TV star, admitted she once held left-leaning views but changed her perspective after researching Trump’s policies. “I used to be on the left and thought I was doing the right thing,” she said. “That’s why it’s so important to have open conversations. On the left, there’s no objective truth. It’s only about feelings.”
Despite the backlash, Rose said she remains steadfast in her beliefs. “Unfortunately, the ‘woke’ left cancels people for having a different ideology,” she told Maxim. “Fortunately for me, I don’t give a f— and will always stand 10 toes down until the wheels fall off, regardless of what my beliefs may be.”
Rose hinted at a potential future in politics, though she acknowledged she still has much to learn. “Maybe. I still have a lot to learn, but I’m definitely in love with it,” she said. She also revealed plans for a new show focused on her opinions about politics and current events.
Her appearance at the Republican National Convention came just two days after an assassination attempt on Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Rose used the platform to emphasize the importance of unity and open dialogue. “As a society, we all need to get back to reality and have these difficult conversations to bring us all back to a better place,” she said.
Rose’s defiance has inspired others, she said, urging people to stand firm in their beliefs. “Be persistent and don’t take no for an answer!” she told Maxim. “The worst thing someone can say to you is no. If you’re starting off where I started, it’s only up from there. Believe in yourself!”
