The Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education (BIEAP) has officially announced the results of the AP Inter 1st Year Supplementary Examinations. The results were made public on Thursday afternoon on the official website of the board – resultsbie.ap.gov.in. Students who took part in the supplementary exams can now check their individual marks by entering their hall ticket numbers and dates of birth.

This year, a total of 5,03,459 candidates were eligible to sit for the regular and supplementary exams conducted by BIEAP for the 1st and 2nd year Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations (IPASE). Of these, 3,65,872 students appeared for the 1st-year exams and 1,37,587 for the 2nd-year exams.

In order to pass the AP Inter 1st Year Supply Exam, a candidate must score a minimum of 60% of the total marks. However, this passing percentage is reduced to 50% for candidates belonging to the Backward Classes category and further lowered to 40% for candidates from the SC, ST, differently-abled, and ex-servicemen categories as per the reservation norms.

The AP Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) plays a crucial role in recruiting teachers for the government schools across the state. The examination consists of two papers, with Paper 1 certification enabling individuals to teach students from Classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2 allowing them to teach students from Classes 6 to 8.

The AP Inter 1st Year Supply Exams for this year were conducted in the months of May and June, spanning from May 24 to June 1. The examination timings were divided based on the year of study, with 1st-year students appearing for papers from 9 am to 12 pm and 2nd-year students from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

For the regular course of the 1st-year Intermediate exams, gender-wise, 1,77,012 male students and 1,69,381 female students were registered to appear for the examinations. The overall pass percentage for the 1st-year exams stood at 67%, with girls achieving a pass percentage of 71% and boys at 64%.
