The Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General emphasizes that a coroner’s investigation serves three primary purposes. Firstly, it aims to determine the facts surrounding a death. Secondly, it provides recommendations to prevent similar deaths in the future. Finally, the investigation ensures that the circumstances surrounding an individual’s death are not neglected, concealed, or overlooked.
