Baby in Critical Condition After Incident at Legoland Windsor Resort Leads to Arrest

A five-month-old baby is currently in critical condition after suffering a cardiac arrest at Legoland Windsor Resort. The incident took place at around 1pm on Thursday, leading to the arrest of a 27-year-old woman from Witham, Essex, on suspicion of neglect.

The infant was rushed to the hospital following the cardiac arrest, with medical professionals working diligently to stabilize the child’s condition. The seriousness of the situation prompted the involvement of the Thames Valley Police, who dispatched their Child Abuse Investigation Unit to look into the matter.

DC Zoe Eele, from the investigating team at Thames Valley Police, expressed concern over the distressing incident, extending thoughts and support to the affected family during this challenging time. The investigative team is seeking information from witnesses who were present near the Coastguard HQ boat ride queue between 11:30am and 12:45pm on the day of the incident.

Authorities emphasized that they are not currently looking for additional suspects in relation to the event. The arrest made was specific to the suspected neglect that led to the child’s critical condition.
