Bo Bassett Claims Third Consecutive Title at 2024 Walsh Ironman Wrestling Tournament

Bo Bassett, a wrestler from Bishop McCort, has made history by securing his third consecutive title at the prestigious Walsh Ironman Wrestling Tournament held in 2024. Bassett competed in the 144-pound weight class and dominated his opponents throughout the tournament.

In the finals, Bassett faced off against No. 9 Carlos Stanton from Sunnyside, Arizona. He demonstrated his superior skill by winning the match with a technical fall, outscoring Stanton 22-4. Stanton’s 2:23 seconds on the mat was the longest duration any opponent lasted against Bassett during the tournament.

Bassett’s performance was consistent with his previous successes, as he had also secured technical falls over all his opponents prior to the finals. His victory contributed significantly to Bishop McCort’s strong showing at the tournament, where the team placed second overall.
