Black Brain Pictures Donates Desks and Chairs to Thembalethu Primary School for Mandela Day Celebration

Black Brain Pictures, the production company behind popular series like Isitha and Isiphetho on e.tv, commemorated Mandela Day by donating desks and chairs to Thembalethu Primary School in Soweto.

The actors and actresses from Isiphetho, including Senzo Radebe, Ontiretsi Radipade, Nokwazi Dlamini, Thulani Mtsweni, Linda Sebezo, and Kwanda Manyathi, took part in the event, spending 67 minutes with the pupils to mark the special day.

Thulani Mtsweni, known for his role as Mkhapeni in Isiphetho, shared that the team not only provided desks and chairs but also distributed writing materials and heaters to the students.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Thulani Mtsweni mentioned that they encouraged the pupils during the event, motivating them to aspire for greatness and letting them know that their futures are in their own hands. Linda Sebezo also offered words of worship to the learners.

Executive producer Mpumelelo Nhlapo emphasized the importance of investing in children, stating that they wanted to create a better learning environment for the students at Thembalethu Primary School in Meadowlands, Soweto.

He mentioned that the event was not just about donations but also about inspiring the children by showing them potential career opportunities beyond what they see on television screens. The actors from Isiphetho engaged with the kids, encouraging them to dream big and pursue their goals.
