Brewers Begin Series Against Struggling Angels with Freddy Peralta on Mound

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Milwaukee Brewers start a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels tonight at 6:40 p.m. CT, marking one of the final opportunities of the regular season for fans to see their team at home.
The Brewers, aiming to secure the top seed in the National League, face an Angels team in last place. Currently, the Brewers lead the division with just a few games left, while the Angels sit at 69-81, coming off a four-game sweep by the Mariners.
Freddy Peralta will take the mound for the Brewers. After a rough outing where he allowed five runs, the right-hander, with a 2.69 ERA this season, looks to bounce back. “I’m focused on improving my command and getting deep into the game,” Peralta said prior to the matchup.
In contrast, the Angels send out 21-year-old Caden Dana, who has a 6.32 ERA in his three starts this season. “I just want to compete and improve,” Dana stated, acknowledging the challenges he has faced.
The Brewers are also addressing injuries in their pitching staff. Jose Quintana is sidelined with a calf injury and is scheduled for an MRI. Meanwhile, closer Trevor Megill has faced setbacks in his recovery. Despite these issues, the Brewers have kept their offensive momentum, with Sal Frelick leading the team with a .295 batting average for September.
The game will be broadcast live on FanDuel Sports Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network. Fans are anticipating a charged atmosphere as they cheer for the Brewers against the Angels’ struggling roster.
