The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the expected date for the declaration of the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exam results for the year 2024. The board shared through its official website that the results for both Class 10 and Class 12 are anticipated to be declared post May 20, 2024. Students are advised to stay informed through the CBSE’s official website for any updates regarding the result announcement.

This academic year, CBSE introduced significant changes to the assessment scheme for Class 10 and 12 examinations, with the focus shifting towards competency-based questions. In Class 10, the inclusion of competency-based questions made up 50% of the examination content, following formats like MCQs, case-based questions, and source-based integrated questions. On the other hand, Class 12 exams had 40% of the questions centered around competencies, aligning with recommendations from the NEP 2020.

Students awaiting their results can access the official CBSE websites once the results are released. By entering their roll number and date of birth, students can promptly view their scores for both Class 10 and Class 12. Schools will receive the entire school’s results via email IDs registered with the CBSE. Additionally, students can conveniently use mobile applications like UMANG and DigiResults to check their results, ensuring accessibility through diverse platforms.

Furthermore, the CBSE has enabled students to receive their results through SMS and the DigiLocker application. By sending an SMS with specific formats based on their examination level, students can promptly get their results on their mobile devices. Moreover, the DigiLocker application will house students’ mark sheets, ensuring secure access to their academic records.

Post result declaration, schools will inform students about the distribution of printed mark sheets. These mark sheets will contain essential details like student names, roll numbers, subject-specific marks, total grades, and other pertinent data. Notably, the Ministry of Education has directed CBSE to incorporate further changes in the evaluation process starting from the academic session of 2025-26.
