Los Angeles, CA — The TikTok series “The Chit Show” has captivated millions with its quirky humor and unique characters. Co-created by Renshaw and Kiel Kennedy, the show began just two months ago and has quickly gained 2.2 million followers and 31.8 million likes.

Renshaw explained how the show started as a one-time video featuring the oddball character Chit, portrayed by Kennedy, typing nonsense into his computer. “It was meant to be a one-off, but the response was so great that we thought, ‘OK, well, we can do one more.’ The response was even better the second time,” Renshaw said.

Initially, the series focused on Chit’s odd behavior, but it has since transformed into a corporate saga about a mismatched family trying to keep their company afloat during a merger. Renshaw shared that the show evolved with stronger narratives, gaining comparisons to classic shows like “The Office.”

In a recent episode, viewers were treated to a surprise appearance by actor Bob Odenkirk, known for his work on “Better Call Saul” and “Mr. Show.” Renshaw detailed how Odenkirk’s involvement came about through his management company, OPE Partners, owned by his wife Naomi. He stated, “We knew we needed someone with a lot of gravitas but who could also sell a joke. Bob is so clearly that person.”

However, the biggest surprise for fans was the reveal of Will Forte, notable for his roles on “SNL” and “Last Man on Earth.” By the season finale, it was disclosed that Forte plays the owner of Trust Core, the company threatening Chit’s workplace. Renshaw described filming with both actors as a surreal experience, saying, “It just felt like a surreal dream because they were both just master classes to watch and learn from.”

As for the future of “The Chit Show,” Renshaw is currently exploring options for Season 2, including the choice between maintaining its social media presence or transitioning to a larger platform. He mentioned, “It’s very early, but it’s so exciting to see the response that it’s gotten so far. It’s really encouraging.” Chit fans can expect the character to return, though details remain uncertain.
