Delhi University Releases First Allocation List

Delhi University (DU) has just released its first allocation list for undergraduate admissions under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for 2024-25. Candidates who registered for this round can now check if they’ve been allocated a seat.

The allocation list is available on the official DU website, du.ac.in, and on the dedicated admission portal at admission.uod.ac.in. Students who received a seat need to accept it between August 16 and August 18, 2024, to secure their place.

This year, DU has a total of 71,600 seats available across 69 colleges, departments, and centers. The competition was intense, with over 2.45 lakh candidates applying, and many preferences submitted for different programs and colleges.

The most popular course in this allocation round was B.Com (Hons.), which saw the highest number of candidates securing seats. In total, 97,387 students were allocated seats, making a notable split of 52,838 girls and 44,549 boys.

To secure their seats, candidates must log into their CSAS dashboard. The acceptance of a seat is specific to this allocation round only, meaning if they do not accept it on time, they could miss out on future rounds.

Additionally, the university has introduced some new features in the candidate dashboard, which now allows students to view specific cutoff details and ranks related to their seat allocation.

For those who decide to withdraw from their accepted program, they can do so online by paying a non-refundable fee of ₹1000. Remember, the admission process isn’t complete until the required fees are paid.

It’s essential for candidates to meet all eligibility criteria, as failing to do so could lead to the cancellation of their allocated seat. As the admission process unfolds, students should keep updated through official channels for any changes.
