Family Day Activities and Closures in London, Ontario

Families in London, Ontario, are gearing up for a day filled with activities and fun as the City of London prepares a host of events for Family Day on February 19. The city has announced both closures and special activities to allow families to enjoy quality time together.

East Lions Community Centre, one of the prominent locations, will host a morning of family fun. The activities will include a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., open gym sessions, swimming, family crafts, and entertainment such as magic shows and balloon twisting.

Additionally, the North London Optimist Community Centre, Carling Heights Optimist Community Centre, South London Community Centre, and Byron Community Centre will offer a range of activities including recreational swimming, tennis, badminton, Zumba, arts and crafts, and more.

For those keen on skating, Victoria Park Ice Skating and Storybook Gardens will offer free skating sessions all weekend and on Family Day, weather permitting. Indoor ice skating will be available at Lambeth Community Centre and the Argyle Arena on February 19.

Families are encouraged to participate in the numerous free activities at these community centres and ice rinks, allowing for a day of bonding and enjoyment for all generations.
