HPBOSE Announces Class 12 Results 2024: Pass Percentage Drops by 5.64%

The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala, has officially declared the results for the Class 12 board exams for 2024. Students can now access their results on the HP Board‘s official website, hpbose.org. The exams took place between March 1 to March 28, 2024, with over 85,000 students appearing for the examination.

This year’s examinations were conducted in a traditional pen and paper format, with students required to start the exams at 8:45 am and conclude by 12 noon. The results were unveiled at the HPBOSE headquarters through a press conference. To check their results, students need to input their roll numbers and dates of birth.

In the Science stream, Kamakshi Sharma and Chhaya Chauhan have clinched the joint topper positions, each scoring a remarkable 98.80% overall. They both secured an impressive 494 out of 500 marks in the exams. Sawpan Kumar, on the other hand, secured 490 out of 500 marks to top the Commerce stream.

Last year, Tarnija Sharma topped the Arts stream, while Ojaswini Upmanyu secured the top rank in the Science stream, and Vrinda Thakur led the Commerce stream. The pass percentage this year has dropped by 5.64% compared to last year’s 79.74%, now standing at 73.76% for the 2014 examinations.

Government schools have also seen success, with ten students from these institutions making it to the top 10 ranks in the overall merit list. Private schools have 31 students featured in this prestigious list. In total, 41 students have secured positions in the top 10 merit lists across all streams, including 30 female students.
