The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has officially declared the release of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results. The announcement was made by the Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, at a press conference held in Abuja.

In a bid to enhance the credibility of the results, the examination board meticulously assessed the performance of over 1.94 million candidates who participated in the UTME across 118 towns and 700 centers nationwide. The rigorous scrutiny was aimed at curbing any form of malpractice, such as impersonation and mixed biometrics.

Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during the press briefing, highlighted the importance of ensuring the integrity of the results in order to maintain the trust and transparency of the examination process. The delayed release of the results was a strategic move by JAMB to conduct thorough investigations and validations.

The 2024 UTME results are being rolled out in phases, with the first batch of candidates who wrote the exams early receiving their scores starting Monday. Subsequent releases will follow once all necessary verification procedures have been completed.

It is worth noting that the 2024 UTME witnessed a significant turnout, with over 1.9 million candidates registering for the examination and tackling it at various Computer-Based Test centers spread across the country. The Head of Public Relations at JAMB, Fabian Benjamin, also played a key role in disseminating information to the media and the public.
