Jamey Johnson Arrest Williamson County Tennessee

Jamey Johnson, the renowned country music singer and songwriter, was arrested on Sunday, November 17, in Williamson County, Tennessee, on charges of drug possession and speeding. The arrest was confirmed by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Johnson, who recently released his first album in 14 years, *Midnight Gasoline*, was pulled over by the Tennessee Highway Patrol for speeding. The incident is currently under investigation, and no detailed information about the specific drugs involved has been released.

The court initially reported a bond of $500,000, but this figure was later corrected to $5,000. This is not Johnson’s first brush with legal issues related to substance possession; in 2016, several members of his band were arrested in Mississippi for possession of a controlled substance, although Johnson himself was not charged at the time.

Johnson, a member of the Grand Ole Opry and a veteran of the country music scene, has been open about his past struggles with alcohol and drug addiction. He has been sober since 2011 and recently released a single titled “Sober” that addresses his journey and the challenges of maintaining sobriety in his environment.

Despite this recent incident, Johnson is scheduled to participate in Tracy Lawrence’s 19th annual Mission: Possible benefit concert and turkey fry on November 26, an event aimed at raising money and providing meals for the needy in Middle Tennessee.
