The JEE Main 2024 is an important examination for aspiring engineers, as it serves as a gateway to prestigious institutions like the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs). The examination will be conducted in two shifts – from 9 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm on January 27, 29, 30, 31, and February 1.
The admit card provides essential details such as the exam day, shift timing, reporting time, and instructions for the exam day. Candidates are advised to read these instructions carefully before appearing for the examination.
Earlier, the NTA had already released the admit cards for the Paper 2 examination that is being held for BArch/BPlanning. This session of JEE Main 2024 started today, with Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlanning) being conducted in the second shift, from 3pm to 6.30pm.
It is crucial for candidates to qualify in Paper 1 of JEE Main 2024 to be eligible for undergraduate engineering programs like BE/BTech in NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutions and universities. Successful candidates also qualify for the JEE (Advanced) examination, the entrance exam for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Aspiring architects and planners can appear for Paper 2A and Paper 2B to pursue BArch and BPlanning courses across various universities in the country. The marking scheme for both papers includes +4 marks for correct answers and -1 mark for wrong answers in MCQs. The Drawing and Planning tests are evaluated separately.
