Miami Dade Fire Rescue Dog Training Event

In celebration of International Dog Day on Monday, August 26, 2024, the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) team will partner with local organizations to showcase free demonstrations and lifesaving training for the community and their pets.

The event is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pet Adoption and Protection Center, located at 3599 NW 79 Avenue, Doral, FL 33122.

Free demonstrations of the HELP Program will include various critical skills such as the newly added Fur Baby CPR (CPR for dogs), adult and pediatric hands-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and managing blocked airways emergencies for adults, children, infants, and pets.

Additionally, attendees will learn about Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) operations, early stroke recognition, and techniques for stopping the bleed.

Animal Services will also participate in the annual campaign, promoting pet adoptions and raising awareness about the importance of animal welfare.
