Moore County FFA Shines at Tennessee State Convention

GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Nine members of the Moore County FFA Chapter participated in the 97th Annual Tennessee FFA State Convention from March 24 to 26, 2025, where they engaged in sessions, workshops, and a large career and college fair aimed at enhancing their leadership and personal development.
During the convention, the chapter was honored with several accolades, including the Superior Chapter Award, recognition for a 10% membership increase for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, and a Gold Award rating in the Passing Literacy OnWard (PLOW) program.
The Environmental and Natural Resources team from Moore County competed vigorously during the state event, with members Jessica Burton, Deshea Lentz, Coy Rogers, and Andella Smith being awarded the prestigious State FFA Degree. This honor is the highest recognition granted by Tennessee FFA to members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment throughout their FFA membership and community service.
“We are incredibly proud of our members’ achievements and their dedication to the FFA,” said Moore County FFA Advisor. “Their hard work reflects our chapter’s commitment to fostering leadership skills and agricultural education among youth.”
The convention served as a vital opportunity for attendees to network, learn from experts, and explore career pathways in agriculture and related fields. The engaging workshops focused on topics such as leadership skills, public speaking, and community involvement.
Moore County was well represented at this event, showcasing the chapter’s determination and enthusiasm for agricultural education.
