National Research Administrator Day Celebrates Contributions to Research

SEATTLE, WA — September 25, 2025, marks National Research Administrator Day, a day to honor the research administrators and support staff at the University of Washington and its partner institutions.
Vice Provost for Research Mari Ostendorf expressed her deep gratitude for the contributions of these professionals. She stated that their expertise, perseverance, and commitment play a crucial role in the impactful research being conducted across centers, schools, and departments.
“Thank you for your professionalism and dedication to the UW research enterprise, which helps make America healthier, safer, and more prosperous,” Ostendorf said.
This observance highlights the significance of research administration in facilitating academic investigation and innovation, ensuring that projects receive the support they need to succeed.
In other news, today is also recognized as other awareness days including “If You See Something, Say Something” Awareness Day and National Comic Book Day, among others.
As the sun rises at 7:00 AM and sets at 7:00 PM, residents can anticipate a mixture of awareness activities across various disciplines. Meanwhile, weather conditions remain mild, with the water temperature in San Francisco Bay reported at 66.9°F.
