New York, NY — Saturday Night Live is set to return for its landmark 51st season this October. NBC has recently announced the hosts and musical guests for the first three episodes of the season, which begins airing live on Saturday, October 4.

The premiere episode will be hosted by Bad Bunny, marking his second time as host of the show. He will be joined by Doja Cat, who is making her musical guest debut.

On October 11, former SNL cast member Amy Poehler will host for the second time individually and third overall. Role Model will accompany her as the musical guest, also making his SNL debut.

The following week, on October 18, pop star Sabrina Carpenter will host and perform as the musical guest, marking her first stint as host after previously appearing on the show as a musical guest.

Season 51 will see some significant changes with five newcomers joining the cast and six departures. Despite the shakeup, several familiar faces from Season 50 will return, including ‘Weekend Update’ hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost, along with cast members Sarah Sherman, Andrew Dismukes, and Ego Nwodim.

Five new featured players have been introduced this season, including Ben Marshall, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska. The writing staff has also expanded, adding fresh talent from various backgrounds, including stand-up comedians and comedy troupe members.

Michael Che expressed his excitement about the upcoming season, noting, “You can’t plan for a perfect moment.” He emphasized the unpredictability of what might unfold in Season 51.

Saturday Night Live will continue to air live on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and will also be available for streaming on Peacock the following day. The anticipated new season kicks off with a wealth of new talent and familiar favorites, promising to keep audiences entertained.
