Upsssc Pet 2024 Examination

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) is anticipated to release the notification for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2024 this month, as confirmed by education desk sources in New Delhi. This comes as anxious candidates eagerly await the announcement to commence their application process.

According to last year’s schedule, the notification was released by the UPSSSC in September. However, 2024 has seen delays, with officials now suggesting the notification may be issued this October. Upon its release, candidates will have a time frame of one month to submit their applications via the official website at upsssc.gov.in. Notably, all forms must be submitted online, and no other submission methods will be accepted.

For the application, candidates in the General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories are required to pay an application fee of INR 185. Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) need to pay INR 95, while a fee of INR 25 is set for those in the Divyang category. These fees are payable exclusively through online channels.

The eligibility criteria for participating in this examination include a minimum educational qualification of having passed the 10th standard from a recognized board. Candidates possessing higher educational qualifications are also eligible to apply. The PET serves as a qualifying examination for group ‘C’ recruitment processes within Uttar Pradesh, and the scores are valid for one year.

The age requirement for applicants stipulates a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 40 years, although there are provisions for age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories, as per the commission norms. Prospective applicants are advised to frequently check the official website for the latest updates regarding the exam.
