Path Of Exile 2 Gameplay And New Features

Path of Exile 2, the highly anticipated next-generation Action RPG from Grinding Gear Games, is set to release on December 6th, 2024, after a brief delay. This game is a sequel to the original Path of Exile, taking place 20 years after the fall of Kitava and returning players to the dark world of Wraeclast to combat the spreading corruption.

The game promises several exciting features, including co-op for up to six players, local co-op, and both cross-play and cross-progression. This means players can enjoy the game with friends either online or locally, and they can continue their progress across different platforms such as PC, macOS, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

Path of Exile 2 will introduce new unique items, gems, and mechanics. Recent teasers have revealed items like the Kitoko’s Current gloves, which enable Lightning damage to Electrocute enemies, and the Merit of Service unique item. Additionally, new gems such as Enfeeble, Glaciation, and Ice Bite have been announced, expanding the game’s combat and skill options.

The game will be free-to-play, with no “pay to win” model, and purchases will be shared between Path of Exile 2 and the original game. This ensures that both games will continue to receive expansions and support without any monetary advantages for players.

Grinding Gear Games has been actively engaging with the community through live streams and teasers, building anticipation for the game’s release. The early access version will include three acts and endgame content, providing a substantial experience for early adopters).
