Renowned TV presenter Michael Mosley, known for his expertise in popularizing health and wellness concepts such as the 5:2 diet, has been reported missing while vacationing on the picturesque Greek island of Symi.
The search and rescue operation, involving authorities from Athens and Rhodes, including police dogs and drones, is intensifying to locate Mosley, who went missing after embarking on a coastal walk from St. Nicholas beach on Wednesday.
Greek Police indicated that Mosley’s wife, Dr. Clare Bailey Mosley, raised the alarm when he did not return by the evening, with his phone found at their accommodation. The island’s mayor Eleftherios Papakalodoukas and deputy mayor Ilias Chaskas are actively involved in coordinating the search efforts focusing on the perilous Pedi area.
The Foreign Office has confirmed their involvement in supporting Mosley’s family and liaising with local authorities. Meanwhile, Mosley’s extensive career in broadcasting, including appearances on top TV shows like Trust Me, I'm a Doctor, has garnered international recognition.
