Residents Invited to Share Traffic Concerns at Upcoming MPO Hearing

FORT MYERS, Florida — Lee County residents are invited to voice their thoughts on local traffic issues at a public hearing hosted by the Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). The hearing is set for June 20, 2025, at 9 a.m. in Room 118 of the Lee County Administration East Building located at 2201 Second Street.
The MPO aims to gather input from citizens regarding three key items on the agenda, as noted in a press release from the organization. The full agenda packet will be available online starting June 12, 2025, at www.leempo.com. Residents can also request hard copies by contacting the MPO office at 239-244-2220.
Written comments may be submitted via email, fax, or mail until 5 p.m. on June 19, and will be presented to the Board. Public comments will also be accepted during the meeting. The MPO encourages local residents to participate to help shape future transportation improvements in the county.
In addition to the public hearing, residents can fill out a questionnaire to better inform the MPO about current transportation behaviors and future needs. Completing the survey will only take about 5 to 10 minutes, allowing the MPO to gather crucial feedback efficiently.
For more information on this meeting or other MPO initiatives, visit the MPO’s website, or contact them directly. The organization values public engagement as it works towards enhancing transportation infrastructure in Lee County.
