Revised NEET UG Results Expected Today Amid Court’s Directive
Today marks a pivotal point for students eagerly awaiting their NEET UG 2024 results, as the National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the revised final results by the end of the day.
The release comes after significant developments, including a directive from the Supreme Court that instructed NTA to adhere to the recommendations made by experts from IIT Delhi regarding a controversial Physics question that has stirred up debates.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had previously hinted that the revised results would be out within two days, creating a buzz among the aspirants who are hoping for favorable outcomes.
According to official statements, the revised results will be available at the designated NTA website, exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. Students will need to log in using their application numbers and birth dates to access the updated scorecards, which will reflect changes to their marks and rankings.
The situation is particularly tense as this revision impacts over 4 lakh candidates, including 44 students who were awarded grace marks for the disputed question.
Legal proceedings have been in the limelight after the Supreme Court’s ruling emphasized that only one correct answer exists for a specific question, thereby necessitating a re-evaluation of all candidate scores based on this outcome.
Moreover, after the announcement of the revised results, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will kick off the online counseling process for undergraduate medical admissions, further heightening the anticipation among students and parents alike.
As the day progresses, students are advised to keep an eye on the NTA website for the official announcement and to remain patient as they wait for crucial updates that could shape their academic futures.
